We offer a firmware restore service for people who have corrupted their own drive firmware after a bad flash/upgrade which has left you with a brick or have attempted the cross-wire trick. Because people can mistakenly plug the power the wrong way, not only does the chip blow but the drive itself is damaged. Techno-devices offer a repair for this. The customer must supply us with the drive key if they wish to have the drive repair. The drive key can be extracted providing the flash device hasnt been blown.

The repair consists of TD removing the SST 39F020 TSOP chip, physically reprogramming the IC device with our ELNEC programmer and we can apply the original or hacked firmware depending on your preference. The repair price includes the application of the firmware, whether it be original or hacked on this particular model of drive only.

Any customer wishing to send drives to TD must complete and send the engineers jobsheet (found HERE) along with the drive. The more information available to us the more efficient the repair process will run.
